Which water pump do I need for a borehole?
A borehole needs a submersible pump that sits down in the water. Surface pumps can only suck water up from about 6 to 7 metres, and less at high altitude. Tell us the borehole depth, water level, casing size and test yield and we will size the pump for you.
Should I buy an electric, diesel or petrol water pump?
Choose electric where there is reliable KPLC power – it is the cheapest to run. Choose diesel for long daily pumping without power, and petrol for lighter or occasional use such as small irrigation plots.
How do I know what size pump I need?
